We welcome you to our new website. We have tried to compile a variety of information to help you choose your drums. It is also our hope that this website will help you find more uses for your drums. The drum is at the spiritual center of many different kinds of ceremonies with most of the Native Americans in the U.S. and Canada. They are also used in Mexico. Doodle's Teepee was started in 1961. Drums were never pre-made to be sold off the shelf. Each drum was made in the special way that each customer requested by Doodle and Maggie Stewart who reside on the Colville Indian Reservation, the home of Doodles tribe. As time went by, Maggie and Doodle turned to their son and his wife to assist with the making of the drums. While maintaining a presence to supervise, they allow their son and his wife to take over the basic sawing and assembling of the drums. Doodles Tepee drums have been, and will continue to be, the best quality Native American drums to be found anywhere. This makes Doodle's Tepee a multi generational Native American owned and operated business. We make our drums in the old fashioned way, one by one of premium quality woods and hides. We also sell frames and kits if you want to string your drum yourself. We offer custom sizes and wood types to add to the individuality of your drums. We offer painting on the drums and decoration for beautiful decorative drums as well. Our prices are reasonable and we give wholesale prices to large orders for resellers. Check out our historical and spiritual section for enlightening and interesting information on the uses of our drums.
